What's Up?

It's been awhile since I've been blogging. This month has been usually bad health wise for our family.
The boys each had a fever for 5 days each and then one was throwing up after that and the other has a cold and still does. Then dad was down with the flu for a couple of days. So far, I've been healthy thus far. You would think that these illnesses would happen more in Winter.

So what that going on, I haven't had time to do much. I was in LA a couple of weeks ago for a Pastors Conference and then we're going to spend some family time the next few days up in Lynden. Not sure what there is to do up there, but it will nice to get away with the family.

I've been wrapping up gift for teachers this month and other misc. projects. I'm so glad it's all coming to to a close so I can work on my own projects that have been sitting by the wayside.

Next week, my youngest son will be out of school... just an indication that Summer is just right around the corner.

Addicted to Flowers!

I have been really into making flowers! (Sorry the flowers are sideways. I can't seem to figure out how to turn them around here.) Paper or fabric ones... you name it! I'm making them. I've been trying to think of ideas on how to use these flowers. So far, I've made rings with them. I'd like to make bracelets, clips, broaches and... help! Any ideas? Here are some samples. We're in LA!

Thanks to Dad, Mom and a lot of good friends, we are in LA. Not for pleasure... but for a conference.
It's nice to get away although I still worry about the boys and wonder if they're doing ok. When you're with them, they can get on your nerves, but when you aren't around them, your heart grows fonder for them. I guess it's good for them to too to have some time to themselves and stay at grandma's which they rarely do.

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all those of you who are mothers! This year, I've come to appreciate mom's on a whole new level. As my boys grow up, I've realized that the support of other moms has been invaluable. I've been so blessed to meet a great group of moms at both my boys' schools. And together, we've helped each other out. Whether it's a ride, or a having my kids over for a playdate or just picking them up from school as a squeeze in a little bit more time away, they've just been a lifesaver!

A Newer Facelift!

My blog is having an identity crisis! You know me, I'm a sucker for a good deal, especially one that is going to beautify my blog page. I saw this blog header and couldn't resist. I wasn't too happy about the other one and I'm glad I got this one instead. Upon updating this, I purposely deleted my posts thinking it would help my background problem on this blog. Apparently, it didn't. I'll upload some of my newer projects at a later time.
